We found our friends!
When we started to plan the trip to Inner Mongolia we also contacted some of our friends. Totalling four families will meet in Inner Mongolia at different locations and travel together in the area. On this day we met the first family and they flew from Shanghai and rented Internet the RV including a driver. This is optional and you can also rent without a driver.
Having lunch with spaghetti bolognese in the prairie amongst cows and horses was astonishing. Fresh air, blue skies, and no hurry, just to enjoy.
Continuing the trip to Erguna Wetlands
Found a nice place for a short visit, Eerguna Wetlands. Could not believe we could find so a magnific place in China. Lots of birch tree forests and small rivers circulate thru the forests.
Ergun Wetlands (formerly known as the Gene Wetlands), a plain delta formed by the Argun River, the Gen River, the Derbul River, and the Hawu’er River. The Ergun Wetlands is one of the largest wetlands in Asia, lying about 3 km to the west of Labudalin Subdistrict, Ergun’s urban area and seat of government.
Boondocking and birthday party in Ergun City
Short visit to Ergun City as we were invited to a birthday party and as there is no campsite closeby we boondocked at the hotel parking lot. This was possible as some of our friends decided to stay overnight in the hotel. Was a little bit tricky to get there as the streets were really narrow and needed to make a 90-degree turn. The birthday party was kept in a yurt-like tent in the city and as usual, the food was great.
